Man of Mystery

Created as the anonymous everyman, the Mec de Mystery (Man of Mystery) is my interpretation of the stick figure. The first of these figural forms is entitled “Mec de Mystery: We – Glancing in Violet” and it represents an individual with no limiting personality attributes. It’s just an inverted teardrop for a head, and a square upper body with rounded shoulders. The figure itself has no color–it’s black and white, with a circle within a circle for its eyes. There’s no mouth, no ears, no neck, no nose…etc. Over time, however, the Mec de Mystery decides to “wear” personalities, to test them out; also deciding to experience what it’s like to have a family and a “life.” The LEGENDS sub-series is but one aspect of the Mec de Mystery story.
